The importance of software services for companies is realized for 20-30 years now. IT systems, after going through various lifecycles appear as medium-scaled systems, as server-client systems and most recently as internet applications. Especially, the server-client systems are the backbone technology features serving companies. These systems also passed through many periods. First, the companies desired their financial applications to be supported by IT systems. Later, production companies initiated logistic IT systems to empower their production planning and manufacturing cost computation activities. This period was followed by the sales and marketing, which started using systems for sales and distribution activities. At the end of this development period, many organizational units, managerial roles, equipment and systems are created.
Therefore, a detailed IT environment is established which is difficult to be managed. The period for server-client architecture, the integration of these separate systems and the creation of companies' IT platforms is still in the improvement phase. After completing the integration of systems that are existent in an organization, integration needs to be enabled between organizations based on today's economic needs. ERP systems, e-commerce applications based on web platform, customer service management, timeline automation, timeline between logistics organizations, and many other timelines will be much more effective and productive upon successful integration of these systems among and between organizations. FIT's software services' main goal is to enable the organizational units, which operate independently, to function together and thus to provide IT platforms which are easy to use and easy to control. |
