FIT has created a repository of previously developed web services for the most standard SAP transactions.

The planning process (mapping, and SMS):

• Service engineers on location assign tasks from the previous or current day to the technicians, according to the complexity and demands.
• While distributing those assignments, the proximity of locations and the estimated duration of the work will be taken into account to be able to service several jobs and to meet customer demands. Optimized planning based on up-to-date information on service location, type of service request and location of the technicians.

Sequential planning of tasks is key, enabling technicians to optimally service in the field, without urging them to go back to their actual workplaces (factories) to retrieve additional information. Relevant information and planning will be distributed via mobile devices, anytime, anywhere!

• Service technicians should be informed by SMS regarding their task assignments.

All the machinery and their maintenance needs can be tracked real-time. Data from Product Link can be included in Google maps, like location, equipment information, truck status (fuel consumption, start-stop).

Borusan Makina, one of the biggest CAT Dealers in EMEA, has been searching for ways to improve tracking and tracing of their materials and parts. Increased access to this information will enable optimization of the service and maintenance processes for field workers.

Borusan decided to supply the field workers with mobile devices. They selected the FIT Mobile Framework (FMF) to match the requirements of an efficient integration with their SAP system:
