Istanbul - February 6, 2009 - thanks to continuous investments Bursa has realised an increase in market share in natural gas from 35% to 95%. In 2007 Bursagaz has won a European Quality award for which they had registered in 2006. In 2008 Bursagaz has also won the European Quality award (EFQM) for choosing the SAP Netweaver Portal to optimize the corporate communication infrastructure and the implementation of search functionality within the portal.

The corporate portal for Bursagaz matches many requirements concerning the facilitation of internal communication, online collaboration (Instant Messaging, online meetings, discussion fora), document management, online forms, workflow, integrated with SAP and other back-end systems. It is also possible to create reports with information from different back-end systems via the portal.

FIT Consulting has been engaged by Bursagaz to realise the SAP Netweaver Portal, matching all requirements. The corporate portal helps speed up the decision-making process at Bursagaz, thanks to the increased transparancy and the reporting facility. Priority in the project was mainly the facilitation of online communication, improved collaboration and better access to and maintenance of information, which has been realised thanks to the Knowledge Management component of the Netweaver portal infrastructure (KMC). With the existing tools, in-house document management, collaboration for the quality teams and other departments, and the possibility to create online forms via the Netweaver technologies, the requirements of Bursagaz were met. The portal technology allows Bursagaz to streamline business processes and to innovate their internal system.

The Netweaver Portal, combined with the Netweaver BI 7.0 reporting tool, is adopted in many companies in the media sector as well.
